Miranda Lambert's rescue kitten

Miranda Lambert Rescues ‘Tequila’ From Highway

A two-lane 70 mph highway in Texas is no place for a kitten to be. Luckily for one special kitten, Miranda Lambert and her husband, Brendan, found themselves at the right place and at the right time.

While the couple was driving down the highway, Brendan started to slow down and take a U-turn. Confused, Miranda had asked him why. “There’s a kitten in the road and I knew you would kill me if I saw it and didn’t stop” Brendan said.

“Well I guess the rescue ways are rubbing off on him” Miranda later wrote on Instagram. She has always had a big place in her heart for animals. She and her mother founded MuttNation Foundation in 2009 to help dogs find loving homes.

“This kitten rode 9 hours back to Nashville with us and 3 dogs and was such a champ” The kitten instantly grew on them and quickly became the next member of their family.“He is 4-5 weeks old and weighs 14 ounces. Y’all welcome Tequila the kitten to the family!”
